Controversial "Evening Secret" Fishing Weapon Owner Responds to Two-State Ban and Criticism
Ventura, CA (PRWEB) July 4, 2008 -- The owner of the "Evening Secret" fishing website has recently responded to the two-state ban of his product, and criticism of his business.
The question isn't really whether it has any scientific basis for fish attraction or not. The questions are, "what the heck is it?", and "why was it banned in two states?"
The site (http://www.eveningsecretfishing.com) never reveals exactly what the product is, but goes into great detail about how it works, and what it will do.
Needless to say, the website gets a lot of flak from a fishing community that continually speculates about exactly what the device is. It's also attracted attention from the fish and game departments of two states in the U.S., which resulted in them banning the usage of the device inside state borders.
Dan's response: "The ban isn't a new thing. The product has been banned from use in these two states for years. Every state's department of fish and game has a different set of fishing rules it goes by, and the characteristics of my product violate the fishing regulations of two U.S. states. It's that simple. I'm not sure what all the recent fuss is about. It's been this way for years, and I've learned to live with it."
As for criticism he's received from various fishing groups: "I can live with the controversy, and the rude comments from some in the fishing community. It's funny, none of the naysayers have ever actually seen the product in action. I'm not sure how valid someone's opinion is when they haven't even seen it. My customers know the truth, and their case studies are published for all to see.
"I don't know about you, but I am more inclined to listen to folks with some experience about the topic at hand, which in this case is my product.
"All I can tell you is that it emits a very specific wavelength that has been scientifically proven to attract organisms on the bottom of the food chain. Phytoplankton and zooplankton form the basis of this system, and are naturally occurring in both freshwater and saltwater. The bait fish feed on these organisms, and when the swarm gets big enough, the game fish move in. And that's exactly when fishermen reap the rewards by shooting fish in a barrel."
The website details exactly what happens when the Evening Secret device stimulates a "feeding frenzy" of bait fish by attracting millions of naturally occurring phytoplankton and zooplankton organisms, but it never reveals how it achieves these results.
Dan remains tightlipped when approached about details.
"I'm not interested in scam artists knocking off my product. We put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this venture, and we're interested in a long-term customer base -- not a flood of initial sales, only to have the product knocked off."
But the complete truth remains with Dan, and his small group of "insiders" comprised of his customer base and his close friends.
