Myrtle Beach, S.C. (PRWEB) March 12, 2008 -- Sands Resorts, Myrtle Beach, S.C.'s premier destination for beach and golf vacations, now offers dog-friendly accommodations for guests at their Ocean Dunes Resort & Villas for just $50.00 per dog, per stay.
Guests checking in will be greeted by Sands staff and the family pet will receive a bag of treats and dog bowls, so everyone can enjoy a relaxed vacation by the ocean.
A designated walking area is located on the north side of the Ocean Dunes, which is easily accessible. The walking area is a good place for daily exercise and Sands even supplies waste bags. From May 15 - Sept. 15, dogs are only allowed on the beach before 9:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. Between Sept. 15 and May 15, dogs are allowed on the beach anytime. Dogs are required to be on a leash at all times.
"We understand that, for most people, their dogs are an important part of the family and not being able to bring them on vacation creates a stressful situation," said Florence Collins, director of marketing at Sands Resorts. "We hope that by welcoming families and their furry friends, we'll be helping to give families a chance to truly relax and enjoy their vacation without wondering how their pet is doing miles away."
Daily housekeeping is provided and guests are asked to be in the room with their pet at that time. Guests who don't want to keep Fido in the room while enjoying the beach, can take advantage of a host of outside services that are available, including mobile dog grooming, dog sitting and dog walking. All are available for additional costs.
