A Myriad of Activities for Children in Park City

A vacation in Deer Valley in any season presents opportunities for kids of all ages to have a good time. It is a fabulous family-friendly place to visit. Deer Valley Resort provides a Children's Center where parents can drop off their non-skiing children (ages two months to twelve years) for a day filled with fun while Mom and Dad hit the slopes. This center is licensed and offers activities like story telling, crafts, singing, and playtime with toys.

For children and young adults would like to ski, Deer Valley provides a variety of runs that are perfect for young skiers. The resort also offers professional lessons to kids as individuals or groups. The instructors are specifically trained to work with children, so learning will be exciting and will help the child enhance his/her skiing skills. This is a excellent way for kids to practice their skills while their parents challenge themselves on more difficult terrain. Lessons are available for kids as young as three.

For visitors who would like to go to into Park City, there are many fun activities offered both winter and summer at the Park City Mountain Resort. For small kids, Little Minors Park offers fun such as a merry-go-round and choo-choo train. This little park allows you to include even your youngest children in the fun. Another great feature of this area is the human maze, where kids can work their way through a larger-than-life-labyrinth. In addition, there is great fun for the brave child who can harness up and try out the climbing wall or jump and flip on the trampolines of the Legacy Launcher.

This area also has an Alpine Slide that is open to kids as young as two with an adult. Alpine Slide includes a chair lift ride up the mountain followed by sledding down a track to the bottom. It can be a gentle ride or quite fast depending on how liberally you apply the brake. A newer attraction is the Alpine Coaster for those who want the thrill of an amusement park in a beautiful mountain setting. The entire family can also engage in a round of miniature golf. For families traveling a little further, just miles from Park Citythe Utah Olympic Park which has its� own thrills to offer.

No matter what season it is, this area provides fun for kids of all ages. There are activities to fit every price range and budget. Going on hikes or bike rides in the summer and snowshoeing, sledding, or skating in the winter are fun, low-cost family activities. The downtown area has kid-friendly dining and an abundance of shops to buy an ice cream cone to top off a day of fun.
