Tracy Melton's Bad Company Fishing Team is Leading Money Winner in 9th Annual Los Cabos Billfish Tournament

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (PRWEB) December 5, 2007 -- Bad Company, a fishing team consisting of Tracy Melton, Capt. Anthony Hsieh, Tracy Epstein, and Kevin Nakamaru, was the leading money winner in the 9th Annual Los Cabos Billfish Tournament held last month. Team Bad Company took home $275,433.33.

The Los Cabos Billfish Tournament is a three-day big-fish team event with top-team honors going to the team that tallies the most points per pound during the tournament. The tournament also awards cash and prizes to the teams that catch the largest fish (by weight) in three eligible billfish species. This year, 70 boats competed for over $850,000 in cash and prizes.

The Bad Company team landed a 406-pound blue marlin, and also won the Cabo Chips Daily Marlin Jackpot on day 2 of the tournament. They also won the Carey Chen Winner Take All Jackpot, and Captain Hsieh also took home a prize as top captain.

"We are thrilled to have done so well at the tournament," said Tracy Melton, owner of Melton International Tackle. "We had the right equipment, and that is certainly an important factor in landing the big fish."

Melton is the owner of Melton Tackle International, a business he started in high school and has now grown to be one of the world's most well respected providers of big game fishing tackle, apparel, and gifts. Melton Tackle has stores in Anaheim, California and Kona, Hawaii, as well as strong catalogue and website offerings.

"I'm not just a retailer or a cataloger," continued Melton. "I am a fisherman. I love the sport, and that's what enables us to do what we do so well. We sell the stuff that we love, and we know that fishermen will love as well. We are on top of the latest trends and technologies in fishing, as well as the latest fashions."

The Bad Company team has fished together for about 10 years, and will continue to compete in other prestigious big game tournaments. The team will be fully rigged by Melton International Tackle.
